Carnival Sunshine which also dons the red, white and blue livery is 102,853 gross tons, slightly larger than her sister ships Carnival Radiance and Carnival Sunrise. The ship, which was constructed by Fincantieri is 133,500 gross tons with a passenger capacity of 3,934 at double occupancy and 1,450 international crew members. Carnival Panorama is the final Vista-class class cruise ship and was built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. She entered service in 2019 with her inaugural voyage in December of that year. Carnival Panorama is currently the fleet’s only ship with a Sky Zone, Trampoline Park.

Carnival Cruise Line is the largest cruise line in the world, and there are several different class ships, each being built and joining the fleet at different times. We will keep track of the Carnival cruise ships by age, so you don’t have to. Carnival Firenze is the second ship in the cruise line’s COSTA by Carnival series. It was transferred over from sister cruise line Costa Cruises and the ship’s homeport is Long Beach, California. It’s a Vista class ship and is themed after the Italian city of Florence.

Venezia underwent renovations in the spring, keeping venues like the ship’s gelato bar – which became part of the line’s JavaBlue Cafe – in place while adding some entirely new elements and Carnival-specific touches. As well as being the latest ship, Mardi Gras was also the name of Carnival’s first-ever cruise ship back in 1972. The original Mardi Gras was originally launched as a transatlantic passenger ship called Empress of Canada in 1960 before being acquired by Carnival.
She was the first ship in the fleet to receive all the FUN 2.0 enhancements in 2011, including popular venues Guy’s Burger Joint and the Alchemy Bar. Carnival Horizon is the second Vista-class ship in the fleet and became the second Carnival ship to restart operations in 2021 following the industry-wide pause due to the pandemic. Passengers have to make their way to the lounge, which isn't next to the theater. It's so common for JavaBlue to be backed up throughout the day that an easy-to-miss sign directs passengers to other locations where they can grab a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, lines at the onboard deli and pizzeria counters frequently snake so far down Deck 8 that they block the entrance to seafood restaurant Rudi's Seagrill.

The ship is sailing 7-night Western Caribbean cruises with calls at Roatan, Honduras, and Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. Carnival Spirit sets sail from home ports around the United States to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. The ship offers a wide range of entertainment options, including mini-golf, a jogging track, kids clubs, and adult-centric entertainment. The ship debuted the restaurant Cucina del Capitano, which is now onboard multiple ships in the fleet.

Fully accessible rooms are stair-free, flat-threshold cabins, which offer wider (32-inch) doorways, turning space and bathrooms equipped with grab bars and shower seats.
Carnival's oldest ships carry between 2,100 and 3,000 passengers, while its newest can accommodate more than 5,000 people. The elderly vessel now looks shiny and nearly new with an adults-only sun deck, a water park, a comedy club and several bars, lounges and restaurants, as well as a spa. Dr. Seuss characters also make appearances as part of Carnival's Seuss at Sea programming. These two new ships are scheduled to debut in 2027 and 2028 and will be powered by LNG.
Carnival has made things a little confusing for Cruise Addicts by completely renaming and refurbishing some of its older vessels. If that wasn’t confusing enough, they have recently moved and renamed several ships from the Costa brand to Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival also has plans to move more Costa ships to Carnival in the future. When it debuted more than 20 years ago, Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, was named its godmother.
